Holy Week : Day 1 
 
They were six days away from the Passover and many people were traveling to Jerusalem so they could offer sacrifices in the temple. On this day, a small yet impactful sacrifice was made by Mary. She took what the scriptures called a “very costly” ointment and anointed Jesus’ feet. I like to imagine this tender moment between Mary and the Savior. One filled with faith, devotion, sacrifice, and love. Then I think about our lives and how each of us offer up our “best ointment” to the Lord. Maybe our offering is our time, knowledge, resources, or love. But regardless of our offering, I do know that I want to bring my very best for the Lord, just as Mary did.
