When my husband and I were first married he shared with me something that I will never forget. We were talking about different responsibilities that needed to be done for the house, work, and our family and he said that this wasn’t a 50-50 type of marriage. But rather a 100-100 type of marriage. That things shouldn’t be divided 50%, exactly half way, down the middle. But rather we each give 100% of what we have to offer. And the 100% ebbs and flows during different phases of life, but if we are both giving our best then that was the goal. And together we would create something beautiful.
